Weekend with my family!

Happy Monday Friends! I am just five days away from my vacation beginning and let me just say I cannot wait! This past weekend my mother in law and Mason's Nanny came to visit for this weekend! I always love when they come into town.  Our weekend was filled with great food, lots of love, shopping and so much laughing! We always have so much fun together. Friday, when they arrived we took them to one of our go to spots in town, The Fish Market. We enjoyed a great dinner. The service was excellent just like the food. After we finished up with our meal we took Nanny & Ms. Sharon to look at a neighborhood that Mason and I are in love with. We have a five to eight year plan to move there. We oohed and aahed over all the gorgeous houses and headed home to enjoy a lazy night. We watched BlackFish the documentary and let me just say if you have not seen it...you need too. I could dedicate a whole post to why I loved this movie and maybe I will one day but for now, all I am going to say is give it a chance. It's on netflix and it's something I think everyone should watch.

Nanny made a friend!

Saturday morning, I took Ms. Sharon and Nanny to Pepper Place Market. It's such a neat place to go on Saturdays. It's filled with organic veggies and fruits, beautiful fresh flowers, and tons of people. We all had so much fun. I purchased organic cucumbers and Chilton County peaches. After shopping with all the vendors we decided it was time for lunch. We ate at one of my favorite places, Cantina. Lunch was fantastic! We were still in the mood to shop so we headed to my most favorite department store Von Maur. This was Ms. Sharon's and Nanny's first time at this store. They loved we stayed for HOURS! I love it! It's such a great place to shop because the store is dedicated to a T, there is a person playing the piano while you shop and the sale associates are as nice as they can be. It never disappoints. We finally made it home around 5 and enjoyed a great evening of making pizzas and grilling them on our big green egg. Mason has become a pro at this and it's such a fun thing to do. I love that we all customize our own pizzas and then my little chef Mason grills them for us.

Sunday was all about Ms. Sharon. It was her birthday.  Mason's brother and his wife came up from Montgomery to spend the day with all of us. We enjoyed the day together shopping, eating, hanging out. ( I see a pattern here...haha!) We had a birthday party for Ms. Sharon and it was so much fun! We wrapped up the weekend watching the World Cup and went to bed super early. Counting down the days until my vacation ends. Hope everyone has a great Monday!
