Viva Las Vegas

Last week my best friend Erica and I attended the National Kitchen and Bath & International Builders Show in one of my favorite cities, Las Vegas! We arrived a few days early and had so much fun shopping and trying out new restaurants. I now have to go to spot for brunch. It's well known in Vegas for always having a crowd but let me assure you the wait is so worth the food. It's Hash  House A Go Go! Erica and I split a meal and there was still a ton of food left. We went with one of the well know dishes the World Famous Sage Fried Chicken Benedict...AMAZING!

We picked up some goodies at the outlet mall and did lots of shopping for our best friend's kids. Why is it so much fun shopping for bittys??  I love it! Another fun thing that we got to do was visit the Budweiser Clydesdales! My friend Scott's brother is one of the drivers for the Clydesdales and let me tell you they are so beautiful. Such a neat experience. I can't wait to see them in the Super Bowl Commercial. And I would not feel right not mentioning the cute dalmatians, Chip and April. I was obsessed!

Now the reason why we were in Vegas! The Show! I love design and trends and this is the place to see what's really hot in the design world. I love to see what's new with appliances, cabinets, plumbing and lighting. Without further wait here are my highlights!

Let me just say I love it all! I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday!

First Monday of 2016!

Happy Monday! It's been tough to be at work today. Even though...I LOVE my job it's hard to go from sitting on the couch everyday to work. But I have managed to do it. It's actually been a pretty productive day. Work planning, oil change, and desk clean out. Go me!

This past weekend was wonderful. A lot of time with just the two of us! We finally tried out at new place in town, Babalu & Tapas. We had some tasty tacos. We liked the vibe of the restaurant. I think it would be a neat place to visit in the summer.

We also finally got around to working on my LAST year's Christmas present. My parents gave me two old doors that came from an old house on their farm in Tennesee. The doors are chipping with over 4 or 5 different colors. I was so excited when my parents gave me them I knew I would find a special place for them in our home. We cleaned the doors with soapy water and then painted them with two coats of polyurethane. I chose the Matte finish. I only completed one door so I will have to finish the other one in a few weeks. But just look at them...I LOVE!

The inside of our home is in desperate need of a fresh coat of paint. Every time we head to Lowes I am always looking at different paint colors. I think I have finally decided. Here are the four I love and will be going with two from the picture. Lots of people love to paint, however not me. I am really dreading it but I know it will make me happy when it's done.

Here's to a fabulous week!

To my Mason!

I know Mason never reads this blog. He also may not even remember that I have one. He doesn't seem to get it. Haha and that's fine. I don't get fantasy football...:) but it's my little space to place my thoughts and today more than ever I wanted to write to him. So yes this may be cheesy and annoying but it's honest and I want to always remember my feelings and thoughts. So here is goes!

Dear Mason,

Thank you for being my best friend and biggest supporter. Thank you for doing all the little things to make my life easier. Just like this week, when you fixed our back door, organized the pantry, folded clothes, and made two target runs just so I didn't have too. I know I told you thank you and I know it's so minor but all of those things are so thoughtful just like you. You are the most thoughtful person I know and I am so lucky you are mine. I honestly didn't realized how blessed I was until lately. I knew I was lucky to have you of course because you are one in a million but now more than ever I understand what love is. You teach me so much daily and always push me outside my limits which can be a challenge I know. You always want to make me happy and just so you know you do more than anyone or anything. I respect you and look up to you and always want to make you proud. Thank you for being my #1. For loving me at my worst. Taking care of me when I am sick and putting up with my OCD ways of life. Most importantly thank you for being my best friend and my love. Life is the best because I have you. I'm looking forward to another year with you. Love you to the moon and back!

Xoxox!
